Cleveland Cavaliers Achieve First NBA Championship Title In Franchise History


History was made last Sunday night June 19th, 2016 when the Cleveland Cavaliers took home their first NBA Championship win in the history of the franchise. The Cavaliers recovered from a 3-1 NBA Finals deficit against the Golden State Warriors and came back to snatch the Championship title from the returning NBA champions.

Lebron James carried the Cleveland Cavaliers to victory. He was unanimously named the NBA Finals MVP. James led the finals stats in points, assists, rebounds, and steals.

Founded in 1970, the Cleveland Cavaliers had never won an NBA title until last night. When Lebron James returned to the Cavs in 2014 he vowed to bring the team its first championship win.

As the buzzer hit zero last night and the score was 93-89, the entire Cavaliers team become very emotional. James crumbled to the floor in tears, while the Cavaliers coach Tyronn Lue sat on the bench with his head between his hands.
